In the Spine installations I am thinking about the connection we have with technology and how it has become an inseparable part of us. I am thinking about the electrical impulses in our body and the symbolic and literal functions of light for living beings. Spine also references the connection between the body, architecture, and art, as it stands in an integrally significant location of the architecture, the corner or spine of the building. The spinal column is the nervous system’s electrical pathway, which is stimulated by the experience of seeing and being in the presence of Spine.
