obLIvious

obLIvious is not much more than a speck on a wall. Made of the same material as the wall, it becomes part of the wall rather than imposing itself on the wall; left to be ignored and overlooked or acknowledged and admired. If it is seen, from one angle it reads “obvious” and from the other “oblivious”. This object stands quietly whispering and waiting but not demanding attention; it is easily overlooked and dismissed but has volumes to speak if listened to. It is parabolic, those with eyes to see will see and ears to hear will hear. The writing on the wall is often obvious to many while others are oblivious to it.
